About
Hello, I’m Iris.
For over twelve years I’ve sat with people through some of the hardest, and most hopeful, moments of their lives. Here’s a little about me and how I work.
My story
Why I do this work
Before training as a therapist, I worked in publishing and spent a lot of time listening to people’s stories. What stayed with me was how much changes when someone feels genuinely heard, without being rushed or judged.
I trained in integrative psychotherapy and have since worked in community mental health, a university counselling service and private practice. Today I see adults and couples, in person and online.
Outside the therapy room you’ll find me walking by the water, reading slow novels, or trying, with mixed results, to grow tomatoes.

We go at your pace. There’s no rush to fix, explain or arrive anywhere before you’re ready.
Honest
I’ll share how I see things, gently and clearly, and I’ll always welcome you disagreeing with me.
Collaborative
You’re the expert on your own life. We decide together what helps and what doesn’t.
